  • Information Seminars on Sovereign Wealth Funds

SWFs surpass the size of Private Equity & Hedge Funds combined at an estimated US$3.8 trillion and growing.

Many sovereign wealth funds hire external managers and private equity funds to manage their growing cash surpluses.

Between 2006 to early 2008, the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, India, and Switzerland were among the leading countries to receive sovereign wealth investment.

With the continual shift of economic power from the West to the East, SWFs are expected to grow as developing nations continue to develop large current account surpluses.

As investment and trade flows across oceans, financial markets become increasingly interdependent. Sovereign wealth funds exhibit continuous growth as economic power is drained from developed nations and inhaled by emerging economies. Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup are among some of the high profile financial institutions that received multi-billion dollar capital infusions during the sub-prime bail-outs of 2008.

A myriad of investment funds and capital seekers in the developed economies have modest knowledge on how sovereign investors operate. Many of my colleagues continue to solicit information from us about sovereign investors and the potential risks of participating with them. We are here to bridge the gap, to educate the public and interested parties on sovereign wealth funds. There is so much to know about Sovereign Wealth Funds.
