CASH: Future Fund’s Highest Levels Since 2009


Australia’s Future Fund shifted more assets into cash, as fund executives see an increase in global investment risk and uncertainty. By the end of 2015, the wealth fund had over 20% of assets in cash. The wealth fund has pulled back from emerging market equities where assets made up 9.4% of the investment portfolio a year ago versus 7.3% in December 2015. The sovereign investor has followed suit of many other wealth funds by selling listed equities.
