CHANGE: Harvard Endowment Cuts Eight Positions in Public Equity
Harvard Management Company (HMC), the manager of Harvard University’s massive endowment, announced the cutting of eight positions in the public equities trading unit. HMC struggles performance-wise and is consistently lagging behind a number of its peers (Yale, MIT, Stanford and Princeton) in investment performance for fiscal year 2015. Sometimes higher salaries per endowment executive and having a large internal team does not equate with overall returns.
