SWF and Pension Opt-Out AIG Bailout Lawsuits Tossed

U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain dismissed a pack of lawsuits against American International Group Inc. (AIG) by shareholders who opted out of the US$ 970.5 million class-action settlement that she approved in March.This was one of the biggest class-action settlements to come out of the 2008 global financial crisis. The March settlement covers investors who purchased AIG securities from March 16, 2006, to September 16, 2008.
