Angola to Launch Sovereign Wealth Fund in 2009

The sub-Saharan African country of Angola plans to launch a sovereign wealth fund in 2009. Angola is a major oil-producing nation. Angolan Finance Minister Severim de Morais made an announcement of plans to create one. The project to create a national sovereign wealth fund has been delayed due to the economic downturn.
