Investor Group Gets Closer to National Grid Gas Distribution Business

Hermes Investment Management, China Investment Corporation (CIC), Allianz, Dalmore Capital, Amber Infrastructure and Macquarie are part of an investment consortium in a bid to acquire a majority stake in National Grid’s gas distribution division. Hermes Investment Management was originally in a bidding group with Gulf sovereign funds, but they lost out due to having a lower bid compared to other groups.
