NRG Energy Potential Asset Sales Draws Public Fund Capital

NRG Energy Inc. is unload as much as US$ 4 billion of assets in a bid to lower debt and reduce costs. Some of the assets includes NRG Energy’s stake in NRG Yield Inc., a solar and wind farm owner and operator. Prospective suitors of these assets include Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), Blackstone Group, GIC Private Limited, KKR, Borealis Infrastructure Management (owned by OMERS), NextEra Energy Inc., and John Hancock Life Insurance Co.

BBK and Osool Asset Management Form Aegila Capital Management

On July 19, 2017, Bahrain-based BBK and Osool Asset Management formed London-based Aegila Capital Management Ltd. Aegila Capital will initially focus on opportunities in the UK and the European commercial real estate market. Aegila is aiming to manage assets worth around US$ 1 billion after the first three years of activity.
