ZZ Capital Opens London Office

Hong Kong-based ZZ Capital has opened up a London office. The CEO of ZZ Capital is Michael Min Cho, a former mergers and acquisitions (M&A) executive at the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA).

RDIF Contemplates Russia-Japanese Venture Platform

The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) is in talks of possibly creating a Russia-Japan Venture Fund. This fund would be partially backed by Japanese investors keen on high technology investment and projects. The RDIF already formed a Russia-Japan Investment platform with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).

China Merchants Venture Capital Management and Zhixin Capital Lead Series A in Ximu Credit

Ximu Credit, a Chinese personal credit rating provider, raised 102 million RMB (US$ 15 million) in a Series A round co-led by China Merchants Venture Capital Management, a unit of China Merchants Group and Beijing-based Zhixin Capital. China Growth Capital, Chunxiao Capital and existing investor Fosun Kinzon Capital also participated in the round.
