Silvercrest Asset Management Acquires Cortina Asset Management

New York-based Silvercrest Asset Management Group Inc. inked a deal to purchase Milwaukee-based Cortina Asset Management, LLC for US$ 44,937,297 for an 80% stake. If Cortina hits a number of benchmarks over the next 4 years, Silvercrest Asset will pay an additional US$ 26,209,243. Cortina Asset Management has US$ 1.7 billion in assets under management and focuses on small cap growth equity investing.
The sellers are the firm’s principals.
The agreement was signed on April 12, 2019.
