President Statement: SWFI Supports Small Business Vendors in Tough Times

Posted on 03/22/2020

I want to share a brief story the relates to small business.

The Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute (SWFI) employs a number of vendors both small and large for our operations. I will not disclose the names of our vendors for privacy and security reasons. One of our small business vendors offered to give our organization a waive in pricing for a few months – essentially free services. This was a small business being impacted by the viral outbreak. We declined the waiver and wanted to help and pay full freight for the services provided (business as usual). In times like these, firms that have the financial means could do well to help out small businesses across America, and globally. Profits are important, but so is business goodwill and a handshake (elbow tap).

We know that stories that are negative tend to get more clicks. This is a personal story and a positive one.

Safe travels and to good health,

Michael J. Maduell
