Italy

Italian officials said that the coronavirus death toll rose by 919 to 9,134 as of March 26, 2020.

U.S.

The United States now leads the world in confirmed Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, with more than 86,000 as of March 27, 2020. This figure eclipses both Italy and China, which have taken a more draconian response to lower the spread. New York City remains the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States, with a total of 365 deaths so far.

U.K.

U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson tested positive for the coronavirus. Earlier, U.K. Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II’s son, tested positive for coronavirus.

Spain

On March 26, 2020, Spain recorded its largest single-day death toll at 769 people.
