1. US$ 800 Billion and 20 years, the U.S. loses in Afganistan. A total of 2,352 U.S. military personnel in Afghanistan have died since 2001 (1,847 killed in action). As the U.S. pulls out of Afghanistan, Afgahn soldiers were filmed laying down arms as the U.S. general (General Austin Scott Miller) overseeing NATO exit says he’s shocked by how quickly they’ve surrendered to the Taliban. The U.S. left Bagram Airfield last week – its fortress in the country for nearly 20 years. More than a thousand Afghan National Army soldiers fled into Tajikistan from the northern province of Badkhshan.

4. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is an international organization that seeks to promote the peaceful use of nuclear energy, and to inhibit its use for any military purpose, including nuclear weapons. The IAEA says Iran plans to produce uranium metal enriched up to 20%.
