Asia-Pacific logistics specialist, LOGOS, backed by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority via the LOGOS Australia Logistics Venture (LALV), have acquired a 7,956 square meter industrial site in St Peters to develop a specialized facility that will be home to Qantas and CAE’s new Sydney flight training center. The announcement follows LOGOS’ recent acquisition of an adjacent 13.8ha land holding in Mascot from Qantas in October 2021. CAE Inc. started out as Canadian Aviation Electronics and is now a major aerospace and defense company. CAE operates more than 50 training centers in 35 countries. CAE will also provide training for other airlines in the region at the facility. The new training center will house up to eight flight simulators and will be operated by global training provider CAE, who will enter into a 20-year lease for the site. The end value of the new facility is estimated at A$ 100 million.

The development will comprise around 7,222 square meters of office and industrial floorspace, accessed via the existing Burrows Road. The development is subject to planning approvals.
