Summary

The Alameda County Employees’ Retirement Association (ACERA) is the retirement pension plan for public employees in Alameda County in the state of California.

In 1948, ACERA was formed by Alameda County Board of Supervisors by Ordinance No. 446, to provide retirement, disability, and death benefits to the employees of Alameda County and its member districts. The ordinance was passed October 21, 1947 and operational on January 1, 1948.
