Summary

Formed in 2001, the Botswana Public Officers Pensions Fund (BPOPF) came as a result of the Botswana government’s choice to change the Public Officer’s Pension arrangement from a defined benefit pension scheme to a defined contribution pension scheme.

The fund was created by the Pensions and Provident Funds Act.
