Alaska Permanent Fund Struggles to Keep Investment Executives

The Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation (APFC) has trouble keeping investment executives who are not native to Alaska. Over the past few years, a number of high profile CIOs and investment officers have exited the sovereign wealth fund. Recently, David Fallace, who was in charge of special opportunities at the APFC decided to take a job at the Investment Fund for Foundations (TIFF). Fallace will be a managing director overseeing diversifying strategies. He follows in the footsteps of Alaska Permanent’s ex-CIO Jay Willoughby who left in September 2015 for TIFF.
