Bain Capital and Other Institutional Investors Keen on Virgin Cruises

Private equity firm Bain Capital has agreed to be a key shareholder in Virgin Cruises, another transport venture by billionaire Sir Richard Branson. This new cruise-line venture will required hundreds of millions of dollars. The Virgin Group would invest more than US$ 100 million in Virgin Cruises. Other investors include a Middle East sovereign wealth fund and some family offices. Allen & Co was the financial advisor for Virgin Cruises.

Spending More at Home: Oil Fund Plans $2.7 Billion Toward Infrastructure

Kazakhstan’s National Oil Fund plans to allocate US$ 2.7 billion toward financing infrastructure projects. Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed his country at the Nur Otan Party Political Council last week saying, “The time has come for us to rely on the funds to the benefit of the country’s people, protecting the nation from the imminent crisis.”
