Larsen & Tourbo Agrees to Sell Unit to Schneider and Temasek

Larsen & Tourbo (L&T) is India’s biggest engineering and construction company. L&T is selling its electrical unit to an investor group led by Schneider Electric SE. The sale value the unit at 140 billion INR (US$ 2.1 billion) including debt. Post-deal, Schneider will own 74% of the unit, while Temasek Holdings will own 26%.
