Qatar Pins Hopes in Ukraine and Argentina Farmlands

Strategically, the government of Qatar is in preliminary discussions with the governments of Ukraine and Argentina on possible farmland acquisitions. Ideally, the targets would be land geared toward cereals production. These deals would be around US$ 100 million each, spurred by extensive efforts to secure food supplies in the arid Gulf region.
