SHAREHOLDERS: Facebook May Be Facing Another Lawsuit

Facebook, Inc. got caught miscalculating the average time users spent watching through its site. The social media behemoth publicly apologized on September 23, 2016, confessing they overestimated a key video metric for a 2-year period. The overestimation has irritated marketing agencies, ad buyers, small businesses and advertisers that have poured significant amounts of money into video. Some advertisers want a third-party firm to audit their analytics.

Should shareholders worry? One of Facebook’s top institutional public-side shareholders is Norway’s sovereign wealth fund.
