Hedge Fund Guru Tepper Files Suit Against SunEdison

David Tepper, through his hedge fund Appaloosa Management, filed a lawsuit against SunEdison, the solar manufacturing company. SunEdison’s stock fell over 84% over the past year. Tepper is not a shareholder of SunEdison, but a shareholder of TerraForm Power, SunEdison’s yield company. He wants to prevent TerraForm Power from taking over some of Vivint Solar’s assets (pending SunEdison buying Vivint Solar).

QIC Hires Eric Belman

QIC hired Eric Belman to the QIC Global Infrastructure team in its newly-established New York office. Belman will lead QIC’s infrastructure origination, investment and execution efforts in North America. Prior to joining QIC, Belman had been a Managing Director, Business Development, GE Power and Water since 2007.

Invesco Buys Robo-Advisor Jemstep

Atlanta-based Invesco Ltd. acquired Jemstep, a robo advisor. Jemstep will be renamed Invesco Jemstep.
