Deutsche AM Nabs Prudential Real Estate Executive for APAC

Deutsche Asset Management hired Victoria Sharpe as managing director and head of real estate, Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, she will report to Pierre Cherki, Head of Alternatives at Deutsche Asset Management. Most recently, Sharpe was Head of the Global Client Capital Group at TH Real Estate. Prior to that, Sharpe held positions as Managing Director at Prudential Investment Management (PIM) and as Senior Managing Director, Head of Asia Pacific, for Prudential Real Estate Investors (PREI).

AustralianSuper Surpasses A$100 Billion in Assets Under Management

AustralianSuper has surpassed over A$ 100 billion in assets. The superannuation fund manager reached A$ 100.25 billion on July 1, 2016.

Santa Barbara County Employees’ Retirement System Awards Active EM Equity Mandate

The Santa Barbara County Employees’ Retirement System, based in California, awarded a US$ 90 million active emerging markets equity mandate to RBC Global Asset Management. The pension fund has US$ 2.4 billion in assets. RBC Global Asset Management replaced Vontobel Asset Management. Santa Barbara County Employees’ Retirement System’s new consultant RVK assisted with the search.
