BlackRock Global Head of Beta Strategies Set to Retire

Long-time BlackRock veteran Amy Schioldager plans to retire in the first quarter of 2017. She is senior managing director and global head of beta strategies at the firm. After retirement, Schioldager plans to serve as a senior adviser at BlackRock. Back in 1996, she was part of the group that launched the first exchange-traded fund (ETF) portfolios initially called WEBS and now known as iShares.
