Temasek and Hopu Part of Group to Buy Stake in Yashili International

Through a Mauritius subsidiary, Singapore’s Temasek Holdings and Hopu Investment Management Co., a China-focused private equity firm, were part of a group of 5 investors acquiring a US$ 213 million stake in Yashili International Holdings Ltd. The company’s parent, China Mengniu Dairy Co Ltd, unloaded some shares to comply with Hong Kong listing rules.

The investors agreed to buy a total of 471.13 million shares of Yashili International from China Mengniu Dairy for HK$ 3.50 per share.

Yashili International Holdings Ltd. focuses on the production and sales of baby milk formula and nutrition products.
