Trey Parker Promoted to Co-CIO at Highland Capital Management

Dallas-based Highland Capital Management L.P promoted Trey Parker to co-chief investment officer to share duties with Mark Okada, the firm’s founder and CIO. This is a new position. Before this promotion, Parker was Head of the Credit Research platform at Highland Capital Management. Parker will continue to manage the products he is overseeing. Parker joined Highland Capital back in March 2007. Before working at Highland Capital, he held roles at Hunt Special Situations Group, L.P. and BMO Merchant Banking, a private equity group affiliated with the Bank of Montreal.

Jon Poglitsch has moved into the role of heading up research for the firm’s credit platform. Poglitsch also is staying on as co-manager of the Highland Floating Rate Opportunities Fund and being the company’s lead energy sector analyst.
