Summary
Established in October 2012, the Fundo Soberano de Angola (FSDEA) is a sovereign wealth fund wholly-owned by the Republic of Angola. The FSDEA was established according to international governance benchmarks, will gradually diversify its investment portfolio across a number of industries and asset classes in accordance with its investment policy and guidelines.

By pursuing investments that generate long-term and socially enhancing financial returns, the FSDEA will play an important role in promoting Angola’s social and economic development and generating wealth for its people.

Strategy & Objectives
The FSDEA will gradually diversify its investment portfolio across a number of industries and asset classes including global private and public stocks, bonds, foreign currencies, financial derivatives, commodities, treasury bills, and real estate and infrastructure funds, in accordance with its investment policy and guidelines.

Governance
It is managed by an autonomous Executive Committee. The FSDEA’s organizational structure ensures adequate review mechanisms are in place through the adoption of global best practices, such as the appointment of independent auditors. The FSDEA’s approach ensures compliance with the laws and regulations applicable to the sovereign wealth fund.
