Brazil’s President Bolsonaro Tests Negative for COVID-19

Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro revealed that he tested negative for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Bolsonaro spent weeks in quarantine at his residence due to an infection. Bolsonaro credited hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial drug, as part of his regimen for his recovery. Bolsonaro reported testing positive three times in July. There are estimates of 2.3 million cases recorded of COVID-19 in Brazil.
