Revealed in October 2023, Mercer Global Advisors, Inc. announced the acquisition of Kingfisher Capital, LLC. Kingfisher Capital is a comprehensive wealth management firm located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kingfisher Capital was founded by Alexander (Alex) B. Miles and H.K. Hallett in 1989. Kingfisher Capital has developed a distinct family office approach to client care and supported by a highly competent and deep bench of professionals serving approximately 210 clients with assets under management (AUM) of approximately US$ 630 million. In 1989, Hallett co-founded Kingfisher Capital’s legacy firm, James M. Myers Research, Inc., an independent, registered investment advisory, where he served as President for fifteen years. Hallett worked for Trust Company Bank of Georgia and Peoples Bank of North Carolina (now RBC Centura) before joining Carolina Securities Corporation, where he co-managed the Charlotte office.
