Cell Phone Giant Putting 14,000 Out Of Service

When most think of Finnish phone maker Nokia, they likely imagine the earliest US$ 50 cell phones in the early 2000’s. However, the company is still in business and is making smartphones today. Even though Nokia was the first to conquer the market, it was swept aside by Apple and Samsung. Now the company is reducing its headcount by 14,000 over the next three years. Nokia recorded a devastating 20% drop in cell phone sales in Q3.
