Bitcoin Nearly Reached US$ 46 Thousand

Bitcoin surged to within a US$ 104 of US$ 46,000 today before settling back down to US$ 45,116. Bitcoin last approached this number April 1, 2022. The first time bitcoin approached these levels was in early 2021. Bitcoin has been a rare bright spot on the first trading day of the year, when the S&P 500 is down 0.60% and the Nasdaq is down 1.69%. The Dow is managing a slight increase on the day of 0.12%.
HODLers next have their sights on a key level of US$ 50,000. Crypto experts continue to await the approval of a spot bitcoin ETF, which they say will boost the price. There is also a halving event in April 2024 which is expected to impact the price.
