Norges Bank Reports NOK 70 Billion Profit In 2023

Norges Bank’s profit in 2023 reached NOK 70 billion. This is significantly improved from the loss of NOK 11 billion in 2022. The government will see a dividend payment of NOK 18 billion. Equities and fixed income had strong showings. Equities brought in over NOK 30 billion and fixed income was NOK 18.6 billion. Operating expenses were NOK 8.0 billion in 2023, up from NOK 6.4 billion in 2022. The increase in expenses reflected personnel expenses and fees for external managers.
