APG Involved in Oslo Outlet Acquisition

VIA Outlets is acquiring a retail outlet near Oslo for 1.1 billion NOK from family-owned Glastad Holding AS and Fortus. Formed in 2014, VIA Outlets is a partnership that includes APG Asset Management, U.K.-based Hammerson plc, Meyer Bergman, and other investors. Hammerson owns 47% of VIA Outlets.

VIA Outlets was advised by BA-HR, Deloitte, and Holte. The sellers were advised by Akerhus Eiendom, Thommessen, and BER for the vendors.

In November 2016, VIA Outlets acquired four retail centers valued at €587 million (£502 million), located in Germany, Portugal, Spain, and Poland. The largest outlet acquired in that deal was is in Zweibrucken, Germany.

APG Asset Management oversees the assets of Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP.
