Goldman Sachs Asset Management Buys Stake in SF-Based Industry Ventures

Goldman Sachs Asset Management, part of the Petershill program, purchased a minority, non-voting stake in San Francisco-based Industry Ventures. Industry Ventures buys ownership stakes in venture funds in the secondary market. The deal closed on April 1, 2019.

In the past, Industry Ventures maintained a relationship with Goldman Sachs Asset Management as a limited partner and co-investor. The Minnesota-born Hans Swildens formed the company in his Russian Hill condo in San Francisco in 1999. Hans Swildens was the co-founder of Microline Software.
