Apollo Global Management to Convert to Corporation

Apollo Global Management LLC revealed that it would convert from a publicly-traded partnership to a C-corporation. Apollo is following the paths of The Blackstone Group and KKR & Co., who moved to convert from partnership to corporation.
The new tax law by U.S. Congress and signed by U.S. President Donald Trump, which lowers the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%, has made the conversion a more attractive option for private equity firms.
