SentinelOne Rides the Cybersecurity Growth Equity Wave

Private equity firm Insight Partners is making a big push into cybersecurity investments. Insight Partners led a US$ 120 million Series D round into Mountain View, California-based Sentinel Labs, Inc. (doing business as SentinelOne), an autonomous endpoint protection company. Other investors in this round include from Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, NextEquity, and previous investors including Third Point Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Granite Hill, and Data Collective (DCVC), among others. Post-Series D round, SentinelOne has raised more than US$ 230 million.

Tomer Weingarten is CEO of SentinelOne and co-founded the company in 2013. Weingarten led product development and strategy for the Toluna Group as a Vice President of Products. Almog Cohen is the other founder of the company and serves as chief technology officer. Cohen spent 7 years at Check Point, an Israeli-based multinational provider of software and combined hardware and software products for IT security.
