AIMCo Partners with AI Company Backed by Investopedia.com Co-Founder

Edmonton-based AltaML Inc. is a company focused on machine learning applications. Cory Janssen is a co-founder of AltaML and co-founder of Investopedia.com, which eventually was sold to Forbes Media. Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) and AltaML are partnering to construct applications using artificial intelligence and machine learning within the investment management space. This joint venture is being dubbed as AlphaLayer, and seeks to combine AIMCo’s expertise in investment management with AltaML’s tech skills.
