WeWork ARK Platform Set to Buy SF Office at 600 California

WeWork Cos (The We Company), through its US$ 2.9 billion investment platform called ARK, is near a deal to acquire the 600 California Street office building in San Francisco from Bentall Kennedy. The transaction price is around US$ 330 million. WeWork is a tenant in the 600 California Street building, taking up 73,000 square feet. Bentall Kennedy purchased the building for US$ 216.5 million in 2014.
The ARK platform has support from Ivanhoe Cambridge, the real estate unit of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ).
