Wheels Up Takes Flight in Series D Round

New York-based Wheels Up is a private aviation membership company. The company raised a Series D round that was co-led by funds managed by Franklin Templeton and funds and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. and Fidelity Management & Research. Other investors participated in the Series D round as well. T. Rowe Price, Fidelity, and New Enterprise Associates (NEA) participated in the US$ 117.5 million Series C round on October 6, 2017. In June 2017, KKR did a US$ 90 million aircraft financing facility with Wheels Up.
Wheels Up was created in 2013 by Kenny Dichter and Bill Allard.
In May 2019, Wheels Up acquired Travel Management Company.
