BYE ZEBRA: Investec Asset Management to Rename as Ninety One

Investec Asset Management is being jettisoned from financials services company Investec Group. Investec Asset Management is rebranding as Ninety One. Subject to the approval of Investec plc and Investec Ltd shareholders, Investec Asset Management will spin out from the parent in the first quarter of 2020.
“Our journey taught us to see the world differently, to recognise and react to change and uncertainty. Today, that’s what sets us apart. Now we’re changing our name, but not who we are,” joint CEO of Investec and founder of Investec Asset Management Hendrik du Toit said in a statement.
Ninety One is a reference to when Investec Asset Management was formed, which was in 1991.
