Temasek Supports AMS’ Takeover Offer of Osram

Posted on 11/23/2019

Singapore’s Temasek Holdings is the largest shareholder in AMS AG, an Austrian company. AMS is planning a US$ 5 billion (4.5 billion EUR) takeover of Munich-based Osram Licht AG, a lighting company. Shareholders of Osram have until December 5, 2019 to accept AMS’ takeover offer. This is AMS’s third try to acquire Osram. AMS has lowered the minimum acceptance threshold to 55% to try to get the deal done.

Osram has been impacted by a downturn in the German automotive industry.
