Danica Pension Quits Tobacco Investments

Posted on 11/26/2019

Danica Pension revealed plans to expunge tobacco companies from its portfolio, in both fixed income and equity investments. The pension is divesting from all companies that generate more than 5% of turnover from tobacco products or e-cigarettes. Before the divestment process, Danica had around 300 million DKK in tobacco or tobacco-linked companies in about 66 companies.

Other banned investments include companies involved in tar sands, “controversial” weapons, and thermal coal.
