Canadian Pension-Backed Cubico Expands Spanish Solar Portfolio to 229 MW

London-based Cubico Sustainable Investments, which is owned by PSP Investments and the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, acquired a 23.4 mega watt solar power plant in southeastern Spain. Operational in 2007, the Luzentia Promoción y Mantenimiento Renovable operational solar plant is in Jumilla, Murcia.

Cubico Sustainable Investments claims to be one of the largest owners of renewable energy assets in Spain. Post-deal, Cubico’s portfolio in Iberia now comprises seven assets across Spain and Portugal, with a total capacity of 229 mega watts.
