Khazanah Nasional Sells off Stake in John Keells Holdings

Broga Hill Investments Limited is a sovereign wealth enterprise of Khazanah Nasional Berhad. Disclosed on January 9, 2020, Broga Hill Investments sold its 10.8% ownership stake, or 141,854,717 shares, in John Keells Holdings PLC for 22.6 billion Sri Lankan rupees (at Rs 160.00 Sri Lanka rupees per share). John Keells is Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate in the Colombo Stock Exchange.
Citigroup Global Markets Limited bought the 141,854,717 shares in John Keells Holdings on behalf of a client.
Broga Hill Investments was the second largest shareholder in John Keells Holdings. Sohli Captain is the largest shareholder in John Keells at 11.4%. Broga Hill Investments in 2012 bought a large stake in John Keells.
