Bain Capital Credit and Griffin Global Asset Management Form Commercial Aviation Leasing Platform

Bain Capital Credit is the credit unit of Bain Capital. Bain Capital signed a deal to create a joint venture with Dublin, Ireland-based Griffin Global Asset Management. Griffin Global Asset Management is an aircraft leasing company and its founder was the former Senior Vice President and Head of Strategic Planning for Air Lease Corporation.
The JV seeks to develop a commercial aviation leasing and asset management platform, as well as build out a diversified aircraft portfolio. Under the deal, Bain Capital Credit will provide capital to acquire and lease aviation assets globally.
