Visa Sees Global Remittances Dreams in Currencycloud

London-based The Currency Cloud Limited (Currencycloud) raised US$ 80 million in Series E round Visa, Tokyo-based SBI Group, BNP Paribas, Siam Commercial Bank, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Formed in 2012, Currencycloud is a foreign exchange payments automation platform.
Existing investors Notion Capital, GV (formerly known as Google Ventures), Sapphire Ventures, Accomplice, and Anthemis are also participating.
Colleen Ostrowski, Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Visa, has also joined Currencycloud’s board.
SBI Group was once part of SoftBank Group Corporation.
