Hub 71 Powers on to Attract Startups

Mubadala Capital is a unit of the Mubadala Investment Company. Hub 71 is a technology hub in Abu Dhabi. Hub71 expects to have 100 startups by the end of 2020. The hub counts 39 firms operating out of Hub 71, which is backed by Mubadala, the SoftBank Vision Fund, Microsoft Corporation, and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
Hub71 officially launched WeWork x Hub71. This arrangement consists of three floors of workspace offering 1,200 desks for members at ADGM, on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi. The building is WeWork’s first location in the United Arab Emirates.
Blockchain company Securrency, Inc. raised US$ 17.75 million in a Series A round from WisdomTree Investments, Abu Dhabi Investment Office, RRE Ventures, Strawberry Creek Ventures, Pantera Capital, and Monex Group. Securrency seeks to facilitate yield-bearing token issuances.
