Emergency Coronavirus Package Bill Heads to Trump’s Desk

The U.S. Senate passed a US$ 8.3 billion spending package to combat the spread of the deadly Wuhan coronavirus. The bill is heading to the White House, where U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to sign it. The bill includes more than US$ 3 billion in vaccine research and US$ 2.2 billion in prevention and preparedness efforts.

The aid plan sailed through the House of Representatives a day earlier in a 415-to-2 vote.
