Susquehanna Investment Unit Finds Value in Tilray

Heights Capital Management is Capital Ventures International’s (CVI Investments) investment manager. Heights Capital Management is owned by Susquehanna International Group, LLP. On March 13, 2020, it was reported that CVI Investments, Inc. picked up 10,084,845 shares, or a 9.9% stake in troubled Canadian cannabis company Tilray, Inc.
Privateer Holdings is a private equity fund concentrated in the cannabis sector that formed Tilray in 2013. Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund was an early backer of Privateer in 2014. In 2019, Tilray and Privateer Holdings signed a deal to release the fund investor’s shares over the next two years.
