Long-Time CalPERS Equities Officer Promoted to Deputy CIO for Total Portfolio Strategy

Daniel (Dan) Bienvenue was promoted to Deputy Chief Investment Officer for Total Portfolio Strategy at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). Bienvenue will report to CalPERS CIO Yu “Ben” Meng. The deputy CIO role is a new position.
Bienvenue headed up global equities at CalPERS before being appointed acting chief operating investment officer since January 2019.
