Here are more layoffs tied to the economic impact of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Tripadvisor

Tripadvisor, Inc. is cutting staff by 900 employees, roughly 25% of the company’s employee base. This includes more than 600 employees in the U.S. and Canada whose roles are being eliminated.

Scandinavian Airlines

A large portion of Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) has already been temporarily laid off in recent weeks. However, up to 5,000 of those employees will lose their jobs permanently.

Airbus

Airbus moved more than 6,000 workers in the United Kingdom and France on government-funded furlough programs. In addition, Airbus reached a deal with unions to furlough 3,200 production workers at its manufacturing site in Broughton, Wales.

ANA Holdings

Japan-based ANA Holdings secured 950 billion yen (US$ 8.8 billion) in loans. ANA had nearly 240 billion yen in cash and securities at the end of March 2020. ANA has already put 35,000 employees on furlough, but will grow that number to 42,000 workers by the end of May 2020.

FireEye

Cybersecurity firm FireEye Inc. disclosed it was laying off staff, about 6% of the workforce.

Oasis Petroleum

Oasis Petroleum Inc started to wind down all drilling in the Bakken. The company requested its frac crews in the region to take time off.
